Venues of Excellence strengthens presence in the capital with Altitude London signing
One of London’s most renowned events venues has been unveiled as the latest location to achieve Venues of Excellence accreditation, strengthening the consortium’s presence in the capital.
Altitude London, which spans three floors of Millbank Tower on the banks of the Thames, has joined the sales and marketing consortium’s national portfolio in recognition of its space, events flexibility and its views across the capital.
Venues of Excellence awards membership to high quality conference, meetings and training venues throughout the UK.
Mandy Jennings, executive director at Venues of Excellence, said: “Altitude London is a really prestigious venue that we’re thrilled to welcome into our portfolio.
“Our inspectors were quite literally wowed by the venue’s diverse and flexible space, its in-house service offering, the quality of catering on offer and, of course, its location with the most stunning views the venue provides across the capital.
“The decision to offer Altitude London membership was very easy as we feel they encapsulate exactly what Venues of Excellence is about. Great facilities, great service and attention to detail across the board.”
The announcement marks Venues of Excellence’s third new membership signing in less than two months, after West Court at Jesus College in Cambridge joined the portfolio in June, along with the EEF Technology Hub in Birmingham.
Mandy added: “It’s really encouraging and inspiring to see how many venues across the country are choosing to make a commitment to excellence and to standing out from the crowd.”
Natasha Hattingh, account director at Altitude London, said: “At Altitude, we pride ourselves on the quality and the diversity of our offering amid what is a very competitive market here in the capital.
“Venues of Excellence’s accreditation marks our commitment to being the best at what we do and our dedication to continually strive for excellence.”
Altitude London joins a list of major names with Venues of Excellence membership in the capital, including Senat House, EEF Venues Broadway House, Victory Services Club, The Lensbury at Teddington, CEME Conference Centre and Warren House in Kingston on Thames.
To become a member, venues must meet and maintain the organisation’s stringent high quality standards across areas including facilities, staff, service offer, catering, environmental impact, customer support and health, hygiene and safety.
In return, members can access a range of services including sales and marketing support, discounted access to specialist industry training from the Learning and Development Academy, 12 member events, an annual conference and promotion at industry exhibitions.
