About the Cumberland Lodge educational charity
Cumberland Lodge is the home and name of an educational foundation. Established in 1947, the foundation was granted use of this former royal residence by King George VI. The foundation’s Patron is The Queen. At Cumberland Lodge, we work to support students in higher education by hosting study retreats and through a range of mentoring schemes, including scholarships for postgraduate students. We also run our own programme of cross-disciplinary conferences and other activities that address important ethical and societal issues and involve leading figures in public life.
We are also pleased to make this historic building and its facilities available to others for residential and non-residential meetings, conferences and special events, including weddings.
