Venues of Excellence members top of the class at Academic Venue Awards 2018

More than a third of the shortlisted candidates at this year’s Academic Venue Awards are members of Venues of Excellence, we’re proud to announce.

Venues of Excellence members have secured 30 of the 79 places on the 2018 shortlist, with nominations in 13 of the 15 categories, proving testimony to their credentials as outstanding meetings and event spaces.

Mandy Jennings, executive director at Venues of Excellence, said: “It’s fantastic to see so many of our member venues shortlisted for this year’s Academic Venue Awards.

“Academic venues play a major role in the UK’s events industry, offering incredibly diverse spaces for a variety of event requirements, and these awards celebrate the very best.

There are 15 categories at the Academic Venue Awards, which are set to take place at the University of Birmingham in the Great Hall on Tuesday 27 November 2018.
