Trio of venues shortlisted for inaugural Best Venue Catering Service Award

Three Venues of Excellence (VofE) members have been selected as finalists for a prestigious new award, set to be presented at the VofE Cook and Serve Challenge next month (October).

Following written entries, assessed by three external judges, the shortlisted candidates for the new Best Venue Catering Service Award are Burleigh Court, Ashorne Hill and Said Business School.

The trio of venues will now host visits from the independent judging panel, who will meet each of the teams and before conferring to decide the winner of the inaugural award.

The winning venue will then be presented with the accolade of ‘Best Venue Catering Service Award’ at the Cook and Serve Challenge Awards Dinner, taking place at Burleigh Court on the 26 October.

Mandy Jennings, said: “We are so very excited about the annual Cook and Serve Competition for 2019.  This event is truly a special date in the Venues of Excellence calendar and to see the awesome hospitality talent every year that our venues have is fantastic!

“Congratulations to the three venues shortlisted for our newly launched Best Venue Catering Service Award, and best of luck to all competitors taking part.”
