RNLI launches 2 unique and unforgettable experience days giving participants a taste of the training their brave lifeboat crews under-go.
From January 2020 the Royal National Lifeboat Institution College in Poole Dorset will be launching two new and unique experience days taking place in their world class Sea Survival Centre delivered by qualified RNLI trainers. Participants can choose from the half day Capsize Experience or half day Sea Survival Experience or combine the two to make a day of it.
Unlike any other experience It’s more ‘real’ – participants are aware that the experience is based on the training the lifeboat crews rely on to save lives at sea. This means the experience and learning leaves a longer lasting impression.
It happens in a unique space – The sea survival centre is not open to the public. The high- tech pool has been specially created for training lifeboat crews. The simulation is so realistic film crews have used the pool. Participants also get to experience the special atmosphere at the RNLI College where they share facilities with RNLI lifesavers, volunteers and staff.
Helping to make a difference – Participants not only enjoy an exciting and memorable experience they are supporting a good cause as every pound spent helps the RNLI save lives at sea. So, as well as a memorable experience, participants can feel good about the time they spend with us.
