Phyllis Court Members Club achieves Venues of Excellence accreditation
The private members club, which has hotel rooms and is located on the River Thames in Henley, was established in 1906, and offers a unique slice of history and elegance, making it a prime venue for the prestigious VofE accreditation.
Assessors recognised the high-quality facilities which include 18 acres of land with lawns sweeping down to the river, five versatile function rooms, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, fine-dining restaurants with bespoke menus and well-appointed riverside accommodation comprising 17 individually-styled bedrooms.
Aside from the luxurious facilities on offer which can be booked for weddings, meetings and special occasions, the club also takes centre stage during Henley Royal Regatta week when it becomes a lively hub for all ages thanks to its unique positioning opposite the finishing line.

To become a Venues of Excellence member, venues must meet and maintain the organisation’s stringent high quality standards across areas including facilities, staff, service offer, catering, environmental impact, customer support and health, hygiene and safety.
In return, members can access a range of services including sales and marketing support, discounted access to specialist industry training from the Learning and Development Academy, 12 member events, an annual conference and promotion at industry exhibitions.
Venues of Excellence has seen its membership grow rapidly over the last two years.
