Jo Neville Joins the University of Birmingham’s Conferences & Events Team

The University welcomes hospitality and event sales expert, Jo Neville, to Campus Services as its new Business Development Manager.

Jo began her career in the hospitality industry aged 18, working in hotel chains such as Forte, Best Western and Queens Moat House, where she gained valuable, hands-on experience in a variety of roles. After exploring everything from reception to reservations, Jo discovered where her true passions lie within the industry: in sales.

She has been developing a strong background, and honing her expertise, in hospitality sales ever since. Over the course of her career, Jo has sold a variety of venues – from football stadiums and horse racing tracks to theatres, hotels and conference centres – and has been integral to the commercial success of well-known brands and companies, including the likes of Lindley Catering, Hilton and Interstate Hotels.

In 2011, Jo entered the world of self-employment and now offers proactive sales support to an array of clients and venues across the UK. In January, the University of Birmingham became one of the many lucky clients to benefit from Jo’s wealth of experience and knowledge.

In her new role as Business Development Manager for the Conferences & events team, Jo is the go-to expert for the sale of venues and spaces across the University’s campus and portfolio. No matter whether you want to deliver a small-scale, intimate event or a 5-day conference for hundreds of people, Jo will attend to all your business needs and ensure that your event’s a success from start to finish.

When she’s not helping clients deliver world-class events in the perfect venue, Jo can be found reading a good book or pursuing her love for travel and motorcycling.
