Highgate House announces Northampton Centre as its Charity of the Year
Sundial Group’s Northamptonshire hotel, Highgate House, has chosen the Northampton Hope Centre as its Charity of the Year 2018/19.
The charity has been providing support for disadvantaged and homeless people in Northampton for over 40 years. Alongside its day centre, food initiatives and campaigning, the charity provides various training and development opportunities to enable their clients to progress and re-integrate into mainstream society.
As its Charity of the Year, Highgate House has donated £200 to the centre and will be organising various fundraising activities throughout the year, as well as providing voluntary support. It will also be running a prize raffle at its upcoming outdoor cinema events this summer, with proceeds going to the charity.
Commenting on the partnership, Tanya Haji-Miller, Community Fundraiser at the Hope Centre said:
We are really excited to be working with Highgate House. The support of local business is vital to enable us to continue our work of helping the homeless and vulnerable in our community. We are very grateful for the donation already made and look forward to working with their enthusiastic and generous staff over the forthcoming year.”
Paul Williams, General Manager at Highgate House, said:
“We wanted to support a local charity that helps to make a positive difference to people’s lives and so the Hope Centre was chosen by our staff members to be our Charity of the Year. We’ve already seen the hard work and passion that goes into running the centre and we’ve been really impressed at the vital work they do to help people get back into the community. We’re really looking forward to getting involved in fundraising and volunteering.”
