Gloucester Rugby scores Venues of Excellence accreditation
Gloucester Rugby, one of the South West’s leading conference and event venues has been awarded Venues of Excellence accreditation for its events and conferencing facilities.
Independent venue consortium, Venues of Excellence (VofE), has welcomed Gloucester Rugby Conferencing & Events as its newest accredited member thanks to its excellent customer service and versatile venue space.
As the home of Gloucester Rugby, the venue at Kingsholm Stadium, prides itself on treating all of its clients like VIPs and offers a wide range of facilities, most of which have pitch views, for up to 350 people. The club caters for conferences, meetings, events and parties, with full catering services, free wi-fi, and free on-site parking for up to 150 cars.
Angela Sanders, Head of Conferencing and Events at Gloucester Rugby club, said: “Gloucester Rugby Conference & Events is proud to be part of the Venues of Excellence portfolio. After hearing such fantastic reviews from other members, we knew it could become a key part of our growing marketing and sales activity.
“Membership of The Venues of Excellence consortium is part of our strategic marketing and profile-raising activity. Its support will help to raise awareness of Gloucester Rugby and our conference and events facilities at Kingsholm Stadium across the UK.
“Almost all of our meeting rooms are pitch-facing, though we also offer creative spaces throughout the rest of the venue. Having such a versatile offering means that we can accommodate anything from corporate events through to association conferences. We look forward to working with the Venues of Excellence portfolio of like-minded venues who strive in delivering excellence to bookers and delegates.”
Mandy Jennings, executive director at Venues of Excellence, said: “We’re really pleased to welcome Gloucester Rugby Club to Venues of Excellence. Located in the heart of Gloucester, it is a venue synonymous with the best in sport, first-rate facilities and boasts fantastic links with its community and customers.
“The club’s addition to our portfolio of members also further diversifies our offering, joining a growing list of stadiums and sports venues – such as Silverstone and Southampton FC – committed to demonstrating excellence in the meetings and events industry.”
To become a Venues of Excellence member, venues must meet and maintain the organisation’s stringent high-quality standards across areas including facilities, staff, service offering, catering, environmental impact, customer support and health, hygiene and safety.
In return, members can access a range of services including sales and marketing support, discounted access to specialist industry training from the Learning and Development Academy, 12 member events, an annual conference and promotion at industry exhibitions.
Venues of Excellence has seen its membership grow rapidly over the last two years.
