Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel to host major international event
Scotland’s recently crowned ‘Conference Hotel of the Year’ is preparing to welcome global delegates prior to the World Federation of Hemophilia 2018 Congress at the nearby Scottish Event Campus.
The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel in Clydebank – which was voted Scotland’s top conference hotel at the Scottish Hotel Awards in April ¬– is hosting the 10th WFH annual Global National Member Organisation training event for more than 180 delegates.
The training conference will take place from 17-19 May before the organisation’s 2018 World Congress at Glasgow’s Scottish Event Campus from 20-24 May.
Both events combined, which will bring in around 4000 delegates from over 130 countries, are expected to boost the Glasgow and Clydeside economies by £8.4 million.
The Congress is the biggest international meeting for the global bleeding disorders community when people from all walks of life and professions from haemotologists, physiotherapists and geneticists to social workers, policy makers and members with haemophilia, will converge for the annual gathering.
Hotel Director Bronagh Bell said: “We are honoured to host the Global National Member Organisation training event at the Golden Jubilee.
“Our team is busy finalising each and every detail to ensure that all the delegates and their specific needs are totally met, enabling them to have a successful and enjoyable event.
“With our experience as an international centre of excellence for medical and healthcare conferences, our proximity to Glasgow Airport and our role as part of NHS Scotland, meant that we were the ideal venue to host this global training meeting.
“We are looking forward to warmly welcoming all the delegates on 17 May and delivering a memorable event for the WFH.
“We are also delighted to be part of Team Glasgow working closely with the Glasgow Convention Bureau on this important congress for the West of Scotland.”
