Performance. [noun]. The action or process of carrying out or accomplishing an action, task, or function. 

As the UK’s largest sales and marketing consortium of specialist conference, meeting and training venues we constantly strive to embody excellence. In 2020, performance will be at the forefront of everyone’s minds as the most famous sporting event takes place on a global stage. It is therefore no accident that this year our Annual Conference is taking place at Imago Venues, Loughborough University. The No.1 university for sport in the world. Our #GoPerform conference is all about challenging ourselves and our teams to achieve greater goals and accomplishing excellence every day.

Thursday 30 January 2020 – Annual Conference

Full day conference program running 09:00-17:00 with guest speakers, workshops, interactive session and an Olympian motivational keynote. Followed by pre-dinner drinks and black tie gala dinner and awards from 19:00.

Five-time winter Olympian Graham Bell gained invaluable experience competing in skiing events and now as a motivational speaker, shares his motivating story of determination and performance with us at our #GoPerform Annual Conference.

Prior to his retirement, Graham started skiing aged five, when his Army pilot father was stationed in Scotland. With his love for skiing well and truly sparked, Graham went on to ski at the Cairngorm Mountains and Hillend dry slope, before racing full-time on the World Cup circuit. From the 1980s to 1990s, Graham earned a silver medal at the 1984 World Junior Ski Championships and competed at a number of Olympic games for Great Britain; 1984 Sarajevo Olympic Games1988 Calgary Olympic Games1992 Albertville Olympic Games1994 Lillehammer Olympic Games and 1998 Nagano Olympic Games.

Former soldier, athlete, sports coach and Olympic leader.  John has been Chief Executive across a range of sectors and is currently Director of Sport at Loughborough University.  Drawing on leadership experience John reflects on the lessons learnt from this unique period in British sport and relays his fascinating views on creating high performance teams

Elizabeth Stokoe –  Every Word Matters

Elizabeth is Professor of Social Interaction at Loughborough University.  She uses conversation analysis to understand how talk works from first dates to medical communications and from sales encounters through to hostage negotiation!

Understand how your customers see your venue and how you can affect positive change through your marketing campaigns to ensure maximum clarity and impact.

Adam brings a unique buyer focused perspective to PR and communications specifically for the meetings and events industry

How can venues achieve sustainability through food?

Riccardo will look in more detail at various menu suggestions which support this and also discuss ways in which food waste can be reduced across our industry

Named Independent Hotelier of the Year in 2018, Adam has also been awarded British Travel & Hospitality Hall of Fame Young Manager of the Year in 2017 and an Acorn Award in 2012.Previously General Manager of Georgian House he has won several prestigious industry awards.
